Terms of Service

1. What Keyra Is

Keyra is a cloud-based encrypted vault for developer environment variables. It lets you securely store, sync, and share .env secrets across machines and teammates using client-side AES-256-GCM encryption. By using Keyra, you agree to these Terms.

2. Account Terms

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not share your account or use Keyra to violate any applicable laws.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use Keyra.

3. Zero-Knowledge Encryption

Keyra uses a zero-knowledge architecture. All encryption and decryption happens on your device using your passphrase. We only ever store encrypted ciphertext — we cannot read, access, or recover your secrets.

4. Data Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining local backups of your .env files. Keyra is a sync and backup tool — it is not a replacement for keeping local copies of your secrets. We are not liable for data loss resulting from lost passphrases or account termination.

5. Service Availability

Keyra is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages beyond our control. We are not liable for any interruptions to service.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Keyra and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including data loss, security breaches, or financial losses — arising from your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Billing

• New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full Pro access. No credit card required.
• After the trial, accounts downgrade to the Free plan (1 project, 5 variables). Pro is $5.99/mo and unlocks full access.
• Subscriptions auto-renew monthly until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time through the Settings page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months.
• Pricing may change with 30 days notice sent to your registered email.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. All your encrypted data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the service. We will provide notice where possible.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Keyra after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
